For 2025, IBB Solarplus Berlin is launching a rather attractive subsidy program: up to €15,000 in funding is available for energy storage systems, and photovoltaic systems on listed buildings or the combination of green roofs with solar panels are also supported. Those opting for a balcony power plant can expect a €250 grant starting in March 2025 – not huge, but certainly an incentive.

Photovoltaic subsidies in Brandenburg are provided through a climate protection program, which covers up to 50% of the costs for solar installations. The upper limit here is €100,000. These are significant amounts, especially for larger projects.

It is important to know that both Berlin and Brandenburg have solar obligations – for new buildings and roof renovations, solar solutions are now unavoidable. Those who do not invest now will miss out on clear economic advantages.

Subsidies in Berlin (as of 2025)

IBB Solarplus Berlin specifically supports investments in battery storage subsidies installed together with new photovoltaic systems. For single-family or two-family homes, the subsidy is €300 per kWh of storage capacity, with a maximum of €15,000. For multi-family homes, up to 65% of the costs are covered, with a subsidy cap of €30,000.

Special PV systems: Funding is also available for solar systems on listed buildings, facade-mounted PV, and green roofs with solar panels.

Balcony power plants: Starting March 2025, owners or tenants can receive a grant of €250 per apartment when acquiring a balcony power plant.

Additional measures: Subsidies are also provided for roof assessments, the installation of a new meter cabinet, or other preparatory measures for solar projects. With these programs, Berlin is deliberately creating incentives for the use of sustainable energy solutions.

Förderung in Brandenburg (Stand 2025)
